I recently bought a Japanese sword in france and started to wonder about its origin and so one.

 

After having discover this site I'm amaized with all the informations that can be shared!

 

So here are few pictures of the supposed gunto, if anyone could help me to increase my knowledge in this world...

I suppose no one is going to say it................. Can we, just for the sake of record see pics of the supposed blade and nakago? I love formality. Its the foundation of civilised behaviour.

I feel awfully sorry that you bought it in my country :(

 

You had never seen a real Nihonto in your life. I hope you did not pay it too much.

 

It is one of the worst/outrageous fake I have ever seen. At first seeing the blade, I thought it was a kogatana, then I saw the handle and the tsuba and my heart started bleeding
