Hello Justin,

Online, not that I know of. The following three books should put you in the right direction though.

Shin Katchushi Meikan

Sasama Yoshihiko (2000)

Japanese Armor Makers For The Samurai

Kei Kaneda Chappelear (1987)

Japanese Armor, An Illustrated Guide To The Work Of The Myochin And Saotome Families From The 15th To The 20th Century

J.L.Anderson (1968)

Hi Justin,

i have a short but incomplete list. It was attached to an lecture from E. Gilbertson (1892) named "The Genialogy of the Myochin".

The content based, inter alia, on an Japanese publication from 1891 and of some Myochin documents as well......

Unfortunately in German language.

be careful with old lists, there is strong evidence that parts of the original Myochin genealogy are fabricated, there being several known inconsistencies. Is there a smith in particular you are looking for?

I appreciate the heads up. I have a kabuto that has a mei, trying to see if it fits a Myochin smith. To be honest, its a long shot it is myochin at all. It looks like kin or kane and yoshi saku (maybe). It is faint, and a bunch of unreadable kanji.

All I have are the sellers pictures, it is on the way. Just doing a bit of research before hand. That is the fun of the wait.

The pictures I have are not clear, so not sure much can be gleaned.
