hxv Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 Other side is indented in that area. And there is a faint line in a circle that is hard to pick up with the camera. Steve Hi Steve, If some features of the nakago are difficult to pick up with a camera, I would put a little baby powder (or even regular multipurpose flour if you don't have baby powder handy) on in and dust off the surface. Just to be clear, I am referring to the nakago only. The baby powder/flour will do a good job of contrasting the "terrain", for lack of better word, against the background. The photographs usually turn out very well. To clean up the nakago of the baby powder/flour, compressed air will do a good job. Otherwise, just shake off the power and wipe with a clean, soft, non-abrasive, cloth. I hope the trick helps. Regards, Hoanh Quote
Lindus Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 No ones yet mentioned the sukashi gunto tsuba, not 100% rule but have often found that when the mounts are of good quality and the officer has spent a little more on things like Mon & Tsuba, the blade within is better than average for sure. At the price you paid it is a bargain, at current exchange rate thats about £5.50 Roy Quote
