I have never seen a sword in this pattern that was traditrionally made nor one with a nakago like the one shown.

I cant see anything in the images to suggest it isnt a standard machine made blade.

Hade two very similar mounts,both traditional o'Wakizashi with butchered and threaded nakago. One as I remember it was signed "Bishu osafune Suke......"

I have looked it up on E-Bay and read the accompanying text. Even if it was not traditionally made, it might be a real bargain as a tank (although rusted) is included in the price......

Probably handmade....nakago ground and butchered to thread it for the hybrid fittings. You see older swords mounted this way occasionally.

The non traditionally made ones have tangs made deliberately for these mounts, not so adapted.

But nothing here looks above the "blah" factor imho. Average blade, costing more to restore than it is worth. Militaria.
