Hi,

Have you ever seen back side of soejo paper issued by branch Hon'ami families.

Here is a soejo paper written by Honami Shinshun親俊 (Koso 光蘇) in 1775, who was Honami Kozan line.

The blade length and issued date of this paper are written, and Shinshun's stamp ,to the back side of the signature of this soejo paper.

Hi,

I got another soejo-paper at the end of last year.

This is an early type of soejo-paper.

Written by Honami Kozan(光山) in early Edo period, his soejo-paper is extremely rare!

On this paper,he estimated a shortened wakizashi of Kongo-Hyoe as 1.5-big gold coin(15 Ryo).

Hi all and Mr.Sesko,

Recently,I purchased a book [The Honami Family] by Mr.Markus Sesko. This is a nice book.

But,why didn't you write about soejo-paper(添状) on this book?

(Origami was explained well.)

Hi Morita-san! Thank you for purchasing my book. :thanks:

The problem with the soejo was for me that they are rather "intangible" and even

more rare than the extant origami so I left them out. That means I was not able to

find any information about a certain "rule" regarding soejo, if such a rule existed at

all, as they were mostly just highly individual notes regarding the blade in question.

Also I have no knowledge about a tendency from which Hon´ami appraiser the most

soejo are extant.

Do you have any article on soejo? If that is the case, I could translate it/them and

provide the info on my blog.
