Lindus Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 Please post your name. As a new member posting questions all of the item needs to be loaded for us to see, often with odd mounts it is impossible to offer an opinion unless we have all the detail. Welcome to the NMB ,you will find this a valuable resource. Roy Quote
Brian Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 From the tiny little bit I can see, I am guessing fake. Hope I'm wrong. The habaki isn't convincing at all...and that tiny bit of blade rings warning bells. Brian Quote

drbvac Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 Me too - looks like the tsuka was wrapped with the same type of vinyl flooring I once had in my back porch, triangular flecks. Quote
NihontoEurope Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 Hello, Do not say it is fake just yet. As I can see it might be a new fitting to a yari. It is popular to make "tanto" from yari. They are ALWAYS tough to dismount. Can you post a picture of the "blade"? /Martin Quote
raaay Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 sorry, it doe's not look right look at the so called Fuchi it looks like two compression rings from a plumbing fitting pushed over a resin bonded tsuka to form a Fuchi ? ray Quote
