chevalmoije Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 Hello, I'm a Belgian beginner and would like to know if it would be interested to become a member of the NBTHK to get their journal ? Is it possible to see such a journal online ? I have found the traduction but don't know if there is something else in the journal. Does a kind of mounthly magazine exist about Japanese Swords ? Thanks, Regards, Lichtherte S. (from Belgium) Quote
Grey Doffin Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 Hi Lichtherte, If you join the NBTHK European (or American) Branch, you'll receive 12 issues per year of "Token Bijutsu", about 70 pages each, with a fold out, reduced size, full length oshigata of a great sword (Miss November). Between the translation online and quarterly mailings of other translations to English, you'll have about half or better of each issue's important information in translation. Other organizations that publish in English are: Japanese Sword Society of the US (jssus.org) publishes 6 issues of the "Newsletter" each year, 25 to 50 pages each. Northern California Japanese Sword club publishes 12 issues a year; about 20 pages. If there are others someone else will have to add them. Grey Quote

Cost to join is $100US for a year. Contact me privately if you want more details. Quote
