I have heard that the chairman of theNBTHK has resigned under Govt. pressure, and that all Juyo blades from the last 20 years will have to be resubmitted.

Can anyone confirm or deny this. Also, if true what is the whole story

The 6th chairman, Hashimoto Ryutaro (ex-Prime Minister), passed away this summer, and I don't think there is a replacement yet. Nothing of that sort of story I have seen in the print form.

According to the recent news papers, Mr. Sassa Atsuyuki (佐々淳行), who had been a bureaucrat of the National Police Agency, became the new chairman of NBTHK last month.

So is Tanabe still around? I have heard that in the past few years the amount of Juyo blades being passed has increased 10 fold. Funny that
