New publication on the Hon´ami family

Dear Forumites,

 

I would like to introduce my latest publication. It is about the Hon´ami family

and deals with their origins, the practice of origami, their zôgan and other mei

variations, and goes into detail on the several lineages, including genealogies

too. So far, "only" the German version is available but an English version should

be finished next month (still working;)).

140 pages, 15,5 x 22 cm, paperback. Price 34,90 €

People often ask me why do I speak English more or less correctly for a French. It is easy to understand by this post: nobody wants to translate any Nihonto book in French

Once again I shall have to take my Nelson dictionnary and translate painfully word by word this book from English to French :D

It's getting better Jean. Translating from Japanese to English, or to any other language, was extremely difficult and whole reams of information unable to be understood, since the dictionaries did not have a lot of the words used in Nihonto circles. You are miles ahead, in at least most European languages use a form of Roman alphabet, nevermind the Cyrillic or Greek. Kudos go to Marcus for all his translations in his books and NBTHK journals as well. John
