Mei Translation Help Please

Wish I had a nickel for every time I've tripped up between sane and sada. I even checked sane this time and still got it wrong. I'll never understand how the Japanese people manage anything more advanced than fire with such a complicated written language.

Chris, are you sure? Do you have a reference to a Sekishu Saneyuki? Here's a Sekishu Sadayuki from Oei period...

Here is the kanji for sada:貞

 

Here is the kanji for sane:真

 

I suppose it could be a sloppy sada......

No Sekiishû ju Saneyuki recorded in my library but a Sekishû Sadayuki yes.

 

I would go to a ji Sada badly done.

I think Saneyuki. If anyone has a copy of Zuikan Tomei Soran by Iida (I don't), page 167 has an oshigata of Sekishu Saneyuki. Post a picture and we'll see if it matches.
