Guido Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 I can't make out all characters, but it's definately from the Peoples Republic of China. Quote
Derek Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 It looks to be post WW2 China. Not necessarily military, some like these are military or given for civilian service. I've seen something like this at military shows $20 or so, but this one could be special, so would need more expertise than I. Derek Quote
k morita Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 This is a commemoration badge of the Korean War or an immediately after the Korean War. It's carved: Commemoration of Anti-America and support North Korea, by China railroad station worker. Quote
Lindus Posted September 18, 2011 Author Report Posted September 18, 2011 Thank you gentlemen, as usual NMB turns up info on the most obscure. Wonder how it came to Cornwall via a shin gunto?> Regards Roy Quote

Wonder how it came to Cornwall via a shin gunto?> Regards Roy How else would it get to Cornwall? A Shin Gunto sounds just as classy as any other travel options for an obscure medal! Quote
