hello all I have a questiion, has anyone heard from John Tirado (sayashi) ive been calling him and get a recording about bike racing does any one know where he is?

Talented sayashi, but I am not sure he still has anything to do with Nihonto.

 

Motorcycle racing would be an interest of his. Last time I saw him, he was turning his lower barn into a cycle workshop.

He's currently doing some saya work for me now and recently made this nice silver habaki. (Someone accidentally gave me the secret email that goes straight to his cell phone, so I'm not at liberty to share it)

....Well I tried. He emailed me back with a status update on my own project but no mention whatsoever about my question concerning public contact information to give to others who could use his services.

Well...in that case, how about sending him this:

"The Nihonto Message Board was wondering if you are full up with work, semi retired from Nihonto work, or are still accepting new work..and if so, do you have any contact info you would like to share with potential clients?"

My exact wording was "Some people on the NMB forum were wondering if you are still taking on more work, is there public contact information that I can give them?". Pretty close.

 

I don't want to pester him too much as he seems to be easily annoyed and not partial to communication, but next time we talk I'll ask again and update here.

 

I'm assuming his email john@sayashi.com has been tried?
