Well Jin, It is hard to assess whether it is a good deal or not by the description and those pics. The description mentions a reshaping by a polisher. This may indicate that it had a serious problem that had to be removed, a broken boshi perhaps. Those fellows that appraise the values of auction items can be off one way or the other but sometimes demand drives something much higher than they expect but are usually in the ballpark. So there's an indicator in itself.No guarantee. What does the auction house charge for this in buyers fees? 20% Yeouch!! John

Think the exact wording was "indistinct tip". Maybe lack of boshi (would explain the price.) I've seen ko-bizen pieces with major flaws (retemper, hagire, etc.) sell for a lot more. It simply a matter of rarity.
