Mei Translatin please help

I saw this blade on eBay and first I thought I will buy. But at the end (as I could not translate the Mei ) the risk was to high for me.

As the bidding is over I would kindly ask for your help to translate the Mei.

looks like it starts out China so i do not think this is nihonto so i did not worth through the rest

With US$$ going into the toilet, and so many good collections here, yes the US is the place for the international community to buy Nihonto.

But memorize those first two characters....

when you see them, drop it faster than a hot plate.

My gut feeling told me that something is wrong with this blade, but I did not recognize it - shame on me!!

Hi cisco-san,

 

The mei says "Chen Chao Bo in Dalian,China,in 2001".

 

Chen Chao Bo is Paul Chen.

The shape of the Kanji characters are good though the shape of the sword is very very bad. :lol:

To be honest, I´ve never seen a Mei from Paul Cheng before!
