george trotter Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 First one is "Noshu Ju Kumazawa Kanetoshi saku"...pretty sure there will be an example in Slough and/or the linked Showa oshigata database...he was a Seki Kaji in WWII. Number 2 seems incomplete? Quote
george trotter Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 You're welcome... The second sword is also a Seki Kaji of WWII (IMHO), but half the mei is rusted away. It says "Noshu Seki Ju Fujiwara......" There can't be too many kaji who used "Fujiwara" (a clan name) in WWII, so, you'll just have to go through Slough and the Showa oshigata database until you find one, and see if the style matches this...then you might find out what art name he used...maybe "Kane something" but maybe not...have fun hunting. george trotter Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 I think the second sword might be Fujiwara Kanefusa...he of the 23rd generation. He is actually named Fujiwara and the style of mei seems close to his...so check it out. He is considered a good maker, but this one is a showato which he also made. Quote
cs_strike Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 This one is a Noshu Seki ju 23rd Generation Fujiwara Kanefusa. Reveal hidden contents Quote
