eugene walton Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 I got this tsuba cheep, but I think is interesting, what do you think........ Quote
Bungo Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 what do I think ? If the plugged in thingie were of high quality shakudo , they will compliment the rustic looking tsuba. The lead like pluggin's as of now sort of distracting............... just my personal opinion/taste. milt the ronin Quote
eugene walton Posted February 24, 2007 Author Report Posted February 24, 2007 yea they look like someone "CLEANED" them Quote
Curran Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 Tempo (Tembo if you want to say it that way) tsuba. Hot stamps. Lead plugs. Looks perfectly fine to me. More than a few of your high end Nobuiye have lead plugs. Good buy if you got it for cheap. Leave it alone or carry it around in your pocket for a while. Don't try and clean the crags at all, unless the crud is aggressive red rust.... even then- practice on 15 or 20 other tsuba to develop your feel for such work before you tackle this one. Quote
