kaigunair Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 I've been slowly collecting all the recommended "reads", and was wondering about the nihonto kozu set. Specifically, the translation set by AFU watson. Is the translation a stand alone set with all the oshigatas (like the english version of the yasukuni jinja book) or is it meant to be read in conjunction with the original Japanese set? Basically, do I need to find both the Japanese (for pictures) and the english versions (for reading)? thanks in advance. Quote
Mark Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 they are stand alone and contain all pictures, oshigata etc as the originals. The printing and picture quality are good Quote
Jamie Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 Junichi, I have just received one of them Koto- and it's a good read, and is all in english. Definitely worth having. Quote
kaigunair Posted April 8, 2011 Author Report Posted April 8, 2011 thanks all for the quick responses! I guess the hunt is on then.... Quote
Grey Doffin Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 Junichi, Harry still has 3 or 4 of the volumes in stock. I bet he's on the links on the board. Grey Quote
Carlo Giuseppe Tacchini Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 Junichi, Grey is right. Get the whole set from Harry. You'll get the digital version too, which makes searches a lot easier. Quote
