I'm trying to find tsuba collectors and specialists in Moscow, Russia. Maybe someone is reading this forum? Or probably anyone here knows them?

It would be interesting to meet and exchange experience/information.

I found this thread on a Russian gun site. I have no idea what they are saying, but maybe you can find some fellow Russian Nihonto enthusiasts through it?

Edit to add: Is this whole forum related to Japanese swords? There are some really nice looking swords pictured in some of the threads.

Hi Brian, The second link is talking about all "Japanese edged historical weapons". As I go through it, there is no seperate sub-forums for tsuba, fittings , restoration etc. The first link is a thread about a Kaneomi sword. John

Yes, Brian, I know this forum, and participate in it :)

The forum is dedicated to all kind of weapons, and have a subforum about "Japanese Cold Historical Weapons" in general. It is not very extensive, and John is right, there is no division into different themes.

There are several persons who know much about blades, but I've not met anyone with deep knowledge about tsuba. There are several amateurs of tsuba, like me, but I'm looking for teachers first of all...

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one, unless your post is really relevant and adds to the topic..
