Shogun 2 Total War

Just a heads up that the demo of Shogun 2 Total War will be available for download on Steam in the next few hours.

 

Whilst I appreciate its not strictly nihonto related, I think the game should have some appeal to forum members.

Supposed to be out in full next month.

Total War games, in all their forms, are the only computer games that I have played for 10+ years.

The first Samurai version, had a few bugs, but all the others have been wonderful.

I hope the AI is a bit better, in the combat mode. But I doubt it will.

I've been looking very forward to this for years.

May I point out that Sonno Joi is a decidedly anti-bakufu slogan - extolling the Tokugawa to do as instructed by the Emperor, excercise their mandate as Seii Tai Shogun and defend the nation against the foreign incursion. They were powerless to do so thus they failed...

Dont know what happened but a few posts i made never showed up, and NMB was totally unreachable yesterday during several hours..

 

Anyway as i answered about the Sonno Joi, that is of course correct and i know that.

It was a pun along the same line as my nickname on another forum, AshikagaTakauji, combined with a photo of Kusunoki Masashige xD
