Well its to early to call him dishonest yet...if he doesnt refund or as he puts it looking at another one he has stored, well see too soon to tell

Didn't think there were orange ones = red/brown - officers major/colonel ?> heres a pic of one I found and this is called "red/brown" - certainly on the orange side of the color spectrum

There were red/brown ornate for generals, red/brown for field officers and blue/brown for company officers. Orange is either a forgery or a low quality tassel.

Hi Stephen,

Speaking as someone who has only seen a few red/brown tassels I can only say the following:

I have seen blue/brown tassels that have faded to light blue/brown, so suppose it is possible that some red dyes might also fade to orange/brown. I would say however, that the seller should send the red/brown in the pic unless he SAYS this is only a representative pic and actual item may vary.

Thanks guys, if must have faded....im sure ive seen orange at shows, did alot fade? the one in case is oranger that the one the good Doc posted. Ill let you know what the seller does, he does have a nice sword or two, and so far wants me happy, more to come.
