Hello,

Somebody on that board asked me to post the picture of this rare yari. I really can't remind me who (sorry for that), so true to my word here it is. :D

Yep, it was me. Gilles, thanks for remembering to do this.

And that is the biggest image I have seen of Tombogiri, not counting the oshigata I saw in San Fran.

Congrats to John for jumping on the book. I'd never seen it before.

With thoughts in my head that I shouldn't be buying anything I wasn't looking for given that I may need haul it 1200 miles later this year.... I hesitated.

Tombogiri is a bit over the top with all the horimono, but it is an impressive blade. Must have had quite a presence in battle.

Curran, My son-in-law has access to a huge scanner and map making printer and if you remind me, when I get the book I shall scan and print a copy of this for you and send it along, if you wish. PM me details for delivery. John

What was the title of this book? Geez, now I have an itch for a copy.

Curran, I think you and I will be scrambling when another copy becomes available. :)

(Unless nobody reminds me of the name)

For those thinking of buying,

Remember there are two editions of this book. The first edition was small format with very large fold-outs. In fact the full sized fold outs you see in the photo. The more common edition is larger format, 8x10 perhaps? Be careful when shopping if it is the version with the fold-outs you want...
