Pete Klein Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 HO - HO - HO --- little children! I KNOW you've all been V-E-R-Y naughty this year and so I'm coming to take all of your Nihonto toys away -- except for you Dr. Brian Zoidberg - you'll get a Tokubetsu Juyo Masamune in your stocking. Now let's all sing: "He knows when you are sleeping. He knows when you're on the can. He'll hunt you down and blast your ass, from here to Pakistan. Oh! You'd better not breathe, You'd better not move, You're better off dead, I'm telling you, dude. Santa Claus is gunning you down!" ―A Xmas Carol Quote

Here's a Christmas pic of me and my daughter...I look miserable coz we'd just gone to the National sword museum...and it was closed. Thanks to those of you who sent advice regarding spots to visit. Looking at the list now. Johnb Quote
IanB Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 May I be allowed to add my greetings for the festive season to all you great people out there and my thanks to all for the pleasure I get from reading your posts? I don't really do the 'Bah Humbug' bit cos I happen to like humbugs (but they pale into insignificance compared to Pontefract cakes - thats one to baffle those of you who are not from the UK). When you get to my advanced years Christmas is a rather potent reminder of the passage of time but I still enjoy it, despite the bl***y freezing weather. Ian Bottomley Quote
Amon Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 Merry X-mas to you all! Especially to Brian, Jean, and John for all your effort! Jean! I know you down there has snow but up here we have to use a helicopter to take us to work, that's big amount's of snow... :D Kind regards, Quote
ironron Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 Merry xmas to you all, & happy hunting. Quote
Jean Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 Quote happy hunting I prefer as some of our members, fly-fishing Quote
sanjuro Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 My greetings also to all for the festive season. Our Christmas day in the West is 30 degrees celsius and the ocean is calling. Whilst at this time in Australia we may sometimes dream of the white Christmases we see on Christmas cards, we never see them here and the remote and sometimes forgotten reality of them can be quite trying. So my sympathies also to those who battle with deep snow and difficult restrictive conditions at this time of year. Have a great Christmas everyone wherever you are. :D :D Jean. I realise that the French and indeed the rest of Europe perhaps may have strange and exotic customs, but why would you wish to go fishing for flies? Come to Australia...... we have to beat them off with tennis rackets here, no need to go fishing for the little pests. Quote
ububob Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 Fly fishing? Jean, I knew you had to have some other redeeming social quality. Don't believe everything Keith has to say about Australiam trout. The real maneaters are in Patagonia. :D Quote
sensei215 Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 A Merry Christmas to a fantastic group of people. You have enlightened me almost on a daily basis. The generosity and friendliness of this group would be almost impossible to find anywhere else. I greatly appreciate the openess, knowledge and dedication that is offered. Best regards, Tim S Quote

Jean Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 Hi Keith, Mixing flyfishing and fishing flies, you should be ashamed of yourself on such a day I hope you all enjoy your Christmas' dinner, mine was simple but fantastic, compensating the fact that the old bearded man was late for my present, due to snow storms. I hope, I'll have it before next year Quote
