any help on this mei would be greatly appreciated.

 

with a large amount of imagination, :? i think the first kanji could be "Suke" and the second could be "Mune"

介　宗 Sukemune.... I can see where you are getting that...

 

but then again.... imagination could run wild!

On further eye watering study of this, it looks like if the 1st kanji was SUKE 介 it would be pushed to far over to the right.

 

方MASA is more the shape of the kanji too, but this would be pushed over to the right as well...

 

初HATSU maybe...????

 

second kanji could be any of the fiollowing

 

采SAI

宗MUNE

氷KIYO

永NAGA

 

 

but if you looked at it long enough you may see a fluffly bunny rabbit... who knows.... maybe one of the'spurts will have a better idea..... also maybe the blade could tell more...

I dunno..... that second kanji looks more and more like 宗Mune to me... especially with John "the salty sea dog" Stuarts negative....

Certainly lots of different angles of attack :D

 

I will investigate all the options and if they draw a blank then I think I will put it away until the Shinsa team visit the UK again.
