Nope Ford, Stephen was correct. I also got diverted elsewhere.
Fixed the link, working for me now. Maybe I was a bad boy too?
Mind you...if that was a criteria, you wouldn't be able to view any of your own stuff. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

@Ford HallamI can’t express how much these videos have inspired me and completely changed my view of contemporary work. And the instruction videos are just fantastic. Your teaching is perfectly understandable and relatable with a slow pace and filming that makes me feel like I’m there. So great. Thank for making your techniques accessible to those who would try their hand at this kind of metal working.  I am left with the desire to  do so.

Thank you, Jeremy, it's really heartening to hear that the effort we've put into the films and sharing the craft is so well appreciated. Good luck and power to your elbow on your journey.

Wow!  Great videos!  That tiger tsuba is beautiful!

So, those videos have energized me to try my hand at making and adding a simple motif to a copper plate.

I mean I am an old retired guy and have nothing else better to do than to try and make a copper tsuba (at least it would keep me busy!).

It seems like it would be a great learning adventure!

I will need to study techniques and acquire the proper tools.

Although the videos shown here are helpful, does anyone know if there are any other videos (or DVDs) that can take me through the initial steps?

Thanks!

Subscribe to Ford's Patreon. Though he died, it's still up, and many of us still support Bella through that, and preserve access to his videos. He has a great deal more there than are otherwise available, and the utility of their teaching is enormous, hundreds of hours. I'm not sure how much longer it will be available, bit I hope Bella will keep it going for our sakes and as his posterity.
