reinhard Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 I was also led to believe, that some Juyo papers issued in the 80s are also spurious. That's no big secret. Read English Token Bijutsu magazine vol.7, page 29, published in 1980. It's news from the day before yesterday. And guess what? There are false Juyo Bijutsuhin papers as well, dating from the same time. They are easy to detect (if you know what to look for) and there's not even a need to cross-check with the nado zufu. reinhard Quote

Brian Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 Reinhard..probably not I am mostly surprised at other people's surprise. It is a fact that anywhere in the world where there is anything monetary...there is some level of corruption. Also anything that is legislated..there are some underhanded dealings going on. Being in the firearms industry, I can tell you that people can and do buy licences..and bribe people to arrange things that they can't usually own. I know of similar events in the USA, Australia, UK and most other places. In Japan..I saw an 80% complete WW2 machine gun under a table at a flea market. In Europe, I knew of many people who owned items they shouldn't have had. Basically my point is that there is some level of corruption in everything. This isn't unusual, and no big deal really. Can we get over it, instead of wondering if it happens? Brian Quote
