beakner Posted February 3, 2007 Report Posted February 3, 2007 Hello, I need some info on a sword I've had in my collection for years. It has a great blade - Signed Kane Zane. The military fittings are very detailed & it came with a field grade tassel. My question is... The same' skin under the tsuka wrap is celluloid - similar to the later war naval dirks. Has anyone come across this before ? As I said ...everything else seems "right as rain" & I consider it one of best swords in my collection - but this has me perplexed. Quote
John A Stuart Posted February 3, 2007 Report Posted February 3, 2007 Hi Beakner, It is common in the end of the war times as materiel became scarce. John Quote
