waynes Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Hello everyone. This is the first time I am posting on this site. I just bought my first nihonto(I have wanted one since I was 5). I did what I said I would not do I got it on ebay. Any help that anyone can offer in placing what time period or school this katana came from or any other information about it would be very appreciated. Also some advice on who to go to for shirasaya and habaki would help out. Here is the link to it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %26fvi%3D1 Quote

Brian Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Wayne, Not too much that can be seen from those pics. You will have to let us know when it arrives, and post better pics. Looks reasonable, but will have to check out the pitting mentioned and get a close look at the hamon and hada. It's not a fake..so at least you skipped past that that right of passage  Brian Quote
Yoshii Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Hi wayne, did you get this blade already? I'm curious how the state of the blade was when you get it, because in the pics there wa not much to see. Are you having it mount? Hoping you have done a good buy. Greetings Yoshii JMB Quote
Stever Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Yoshii, I believe Wayne has posted a new thread about this sword in the Nihonto forum (though it needs better pics!). cheers Quote
