HELP WITH TRANSLATION ON GREAT SWORD

I have attached a photo of a long inscription on a fantastic sword (at least that's my opinion) I generally know what the long inscription says but would like an exact translation please. I have also posted some photos of the blade. Any one care to guess the maker? I will post the signature later.

I do not think that I need to translate 五郎入道正宗

 

so it basically says something like this: , following the least talented (this is what 末流 means) disciple 源綱廣 of Masamune, forged it.

 

Confused, but this guy 源綱廣 was not one of the Juttetsu.

 

The other kanjis tell you the date, but I can only make out the last three: 八月日. I am sure Morita-san will be able to decipher it

I am sure it means what you suggest here. But then the wording is a bit strange: I'd say 正宗嫡傳末流源綱廣 or 正宗末流嫡傳源綱廣.

The current Tsunahiro is something like the 25th generation...I have met both he and his father; they live in Kamakura. He makes mostly knives now I believe. I remember drinking with him and Honami Koji sensei one time and watching them talking, I couldn't help but wonder how many times through history these two lines crossed.....

 

This sword is a work of a later generation.

My guess is a little different.

- This is forged using the legitimate tradition from Minamoto Tsunahiro who was a lower follower of Goro Nyudo Masamune.

I think Moriyama san is right, since the signature has not been posted yet!!!

Chris was correct that the sword was done in the style off Soshu Tsunhiro, but it not by the Tsunahiro who worled in shinshinto it is by.....
