Tsuba Fake Casting?

I would greatly appreciate expert eyes on the attached photographs of a shinchu (?) tsuba to confirm if it is a casting/fake. There is a fair amount of what appears to be flashing in the various ana of the design which indicates to my untrained eye a casting type process. My photography skills are not up to what I've seen in this group, but perhaps good enough to reveal the integrity of this particular tsuba.

I actually think this is a cleaned up tsuba most prob by daimyou. he has several listed that looks like he took a wheel to as you can still see the rusty crap on the inside of the sukashi but the front and rear look polished. He destroyed several pieces.

Just to test my detecting abilities - I saw this listing and something in my head immediately went "Cast!"

I can't see flashing, but the texture of the metal seems off, and even looking at the close-ups, the design seems muddy, not crisp like a carved design should be. Am I wrong (yet again) on this one?

 

Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread, but the first tsuba (imho) is obviously a cast. This one's a little trickier. I'm still trying to hone the counterfeit radar.

There are two sukashi tsuba on Ted's Bid Board at bargain basement prices that are superior to anything I've seen in this thread so far.

If you're looking for a decent tsuba at a decent price, check out TBB.
