BRUNROX Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Greetings ! I am trying to confirm the Kanji symbols on this Mei, I think Kanemitsu is correct, what I'm unsure about are the first 2 Kanji, are they Noshu Ju or Bishu Ju ? Attached are a couple of pictures of the blade to see if anyone can help in narrowing down witch Kanemitsu this one may be. As always your thoughts and help are very much appreciated. John A Stuart Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 It looks like Soshu to me. 相州 John Quote
John A Stuart Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 I didn't even check that. Agreed Mark 廣光 Hiromitsu John Quote
BRUNROX Posted September 25, 2010 Author Report Posted September 25, 2010 Doesn't surprise me at all.... I was wrong on everything .. again. Well it should be a lot easier now to see which Hiromitsu this blade belongs to, since there are 42 Kanemitsus listed and none with "Soshu". I'm thinking this belongs to Hiromitsu working in the Eisho Era. What would this type of hamon style be called ? Best Regards, Mario P. Quote
