original ww2 naval ? what do you think about the scabbard ? the year of production is stamped ?? the seller tell me the signature is : Noshu Ju Yoshita Tsugu is correct ?? i find the control mark of Seki

yoshida yoshitsugu of seki. saya is not original to the tsuka. Looks put together from parts...Seki stamp indicates non-traditional construction. Showa, WWII era gunto blade.

thank for the fast reply , another question ? seki mark , is for machine-made blade , why the artist name is engraved in the katana ??

Machine made when refering to Japanese swords doesn't mean what you think it does.

They were mass produced, but still by a swordsmith, just not fully traditionally. The iron might have been Western steel, power hammers used, etc etc. But they were signed, because they were made by a smith. Still considered mass produced though.

The NCO Shin Gunto was fully machine made, no smith involved.
