Grandfather's sword - NOT!

Seems like a deal - but this wasn't grandfather's sword ... more like fwic2803's :-)

 

Location of item is US, seller location is UK and in the description (taken directly from a well known eBay seller) it says they will export it from Japan You'd think they'd at least go through a minimal effort to get their story straight ...

It seems you're correct that something is seriously amiss there.

Have you notified ebay or fwic2803?

The sellers offer of $1500 to 'skip the bidding process' is going to be attractive to some.

Ebay maybe able to act faster if an easy breach of copyright(fwic's photos) is shown, rather than having to prove the seller doesn't own said blade.

That was a hacked account, and the real owner of that seller account was probably unaware of it.

Hence the request to contact via another email address. Doesn't look like ebay shut it down..looks like it ended. Hope no-one was fooled.

Keep those seller password private!
