My name is Pete Pensec. I am a Photographer/Graphic Artist specializing in large format graphic production for a major Pharmaceutical company.

I currently have 4 swords that I inherited from my dad when he past away. He served in WWII from 1943-1945. He was with Gen. McArthur's Island hopping brigade and recalled collecting the 2 military swords on the battlefield and the others when they occupied Japan. I even have a photo of him at the bedside of General Tojo when he attempted suicide. He brought back 2 Military mounted swords, 1 Police Saber and a Wakizashi.

I am currently trying to get some info about the Wakizashi.. It appears to have great age.

I will post some photos when I can. I'm looking forward to sharing with you and getting any insight you can pass on.

Some people around here have tons of information on nihonto and (which is even more important) are willing to share their knowledge.
