寿王 写國貞 (Juo, Utsushi Kunisada) – Juo, copy of Kunisada [i am unsure about 貞???]

明治以来百年二月 – after a hundred years from Meiji, 2nd month (= in February, around 1967?)

吉久君ノ求 – ordered by Mr. Yoshihisa [the reading for the last kanji might be wrong???]

The sword was not made in Meiji but in Showa. Juo (寿王) was an art name of Naohiro (直弘) the 3rd in Saitama-ken, whose real name was Yanagawa Masayoshi (柳川昌喜, 1910 - 1994).

It looks more like KUNITOMO to me, but I'm not sure either.

Maurice,

I believe that this sword is a copie from shortened Tachi blade.

So this blade also tachi-mei.

Carvings of Shosu tradition taste, hada of Yamashiro tradition taste and carved the mei, are a copie from (Rai) Kunizane blade,I believe.
