the signature is SUKEMUNE 助宗

The date is too difficult for me to read.

There are are a lot of Sukemunes who signed that way. I would think it is a Muromachi blade, but not enough photo material to identify.

It is not a date. It is a writing in hiragana, starting "sa.......".

Thanks very much for your help , over the last 30 years I have picked up 40-50 swords which I am just now trying to figure out .
