Markus Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 Does anybody want to browse through the NMB in WM style? http://www.vuvuzela-time.co.uk/www.militaria.co.za/nmb/ Quote
Stephen Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 THAT WOULD PUT ME OVER THE WALL so to speak. Quote
Brian Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 You have no idea! Yeah, damn things are driving us crazy here. At least they settled down since we exited the tournament. Sorry France Been an odd cup so far, lots of unexpected results. I'm not a huge fan, but it's big here. I had never heard a vuvu until about 3 months ago. Now I want to make someone eat one  Brian Quote
Curgan Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 Despite the fact that I live 5000km away, I know what you mean.... Luckily, our tv network have reduced the sound from the stadiums otherwise we 'd go crazy! Quote
Amon Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 The original vuvuzela! (Deleted by Admin ) Quote
Jean Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Hi Brian, I am stopping over the day in Paris before leaving again to SW of France in my family house for 2 weeks. I have stopped watching soccer since '98 and have always preferred Rugby. As Juvenal said "Panem et Circenses", soccer being Circenses. Sorry for Italy too. My only regret was that SA did not win against France 3-0. Being ridiculous does not kill anymore or the plane bringing back the French team should have crashed .... Quote
Carlo Giuseppe Tacchini Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Sorry for Italy too. Shame fully deserved. And you're right about panem et circenses Quote
Curgan Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 Besides Greece, my favourites were Italy and France.... The only thing to hope for now is a final between Brasil and Argentina... Quote
Markus Posted June 25, 2010 Author Report Posted June 25, 2010 My pre-WM bet is still in the race: Finals Argentina - Netherlands :D I want to see Maradona holding this golden thing one more time in his hands... Quote
MrJones Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 It's just as bloody maddening here, too; I did hear rumours that the BBC was working on a Vuvuzela-free transmission for the UK, but so far nothing more seems to have come of it. I especially loathe the way they keep bellowing with the idiotic things during the national anthems; you could hardly hear Kimi ga yo last night. Still, it didn't seem to bother the Blue Samurai too much! :D Quote
reinhard Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 I want to see Maradona holding this golden thing one more time in his hands... The pibe d'oro shall live forever. reinhard Quote
