Can anyone translate this please? And any opinions on the blade? Reminds me of Damascus steel in chinese fakes. 16 inches total with a 11 5/8 cutting edge.

Looks like a scam to me Rich.

 

That nakago doesn't look like it goes with that sword. It looks like pics from 3 different pieces.

I would want to see a lot more pics of the whole bare blade.

Just doesn't look right to me??????

Did not look the maker up but it looks shinshinto from blade shape, it may be someone has treated the blade with acid or chemicals to make it look that way

I remember the sale on ebay. The seller said her husband treated the blade with lemon juice. I wrote to tell him that that could damage the blade but he wasn't interested in listening. Nothing very exciting there.
