my tanto horimono finally arrived, listed as tired and i,d agree due to loss of detail but in fine polish, what do you think ? and of age?

the plum-tree horimono... Could you take some close-ups? It seems to have been added later, made to look like after many polishes. It looks quite bad, IMHO. And it doesn't go together with the horimono on the other side. Just an opinion.

I am sorry I am going to be blunt here, but that horimono is horrible. Absolutely terrible, even if it had no wear. It is obviously an amateurish attempt to cover up a flaw.

Have you seen a decent horimono? I hope someone will post a pic or 2, as anything less that brilliant quality is suspect.

Somewhat "tired" and out of polish plum blossoms horimono - actually looks better than I seem to be able capture photographically.
