PHILZAM8 Posted April 19, 2010 Report Posted April 19, 2010 19 April Hi there, I have in my collection a few WW2 Japanese swords. Some are issued to officers and some are for the NCOs. I have this one particular NCO sword, given by a Japanese soldier (senior sgt or something) to my father during the end of the war (my father was with the USAFFE in WW2). This is the sword with the aluminum hilt/handle. It has its blood groove. I have 2 more like this, BUT this particular one does not have a serial number on the right upper side of the blade (above the blood groove near the handle). I've read on some materials that these swords (NCOs), called NCO shin-gunto, ALL have serial numbers on their blades and are all machine made, without exception. The condition of the blade is not in its prime mint condition, and probably, there are exceptions for the "all of these blades should have serial numbers." Is this possible? Thank you in advance and regards. Rey Quote

John A Stuart Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Hi Roy, It is really easy. When you reply scroll down a bit and you will see a place to add files marked Filename on the left and Browse on the right. Left click Browse and direct the pop-up to your pic file. Open it and the link will appear in the long box beside Filename. Then left click Add the file. Voila, done. John Quote
