nik_ua Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 hallo everybody!!! here is such sabre, can not identify. Blade from sheet steel without hamon and dales. Very flexible. Does it can some parade standard? Prompt me who met something similar. Thank you Quote
Toryu2020 Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Looks like a Model 1898 Cavalry sabre, pretty sure that is what you are looking at is the blade length like 31"? If so these are not that uncommon... -t Quote
nik_ua Posted March 7, 2010 Author Report Posted March 7, 2010 Long in scabbards 105 centimetres Without scabbards 102 I am sure in that sabre original. Question in that a blade is very flexible, strongly springy. Therefore practical application I think does not have. strange, why to do a weapon not suitable for the direct use. Quote
Mark Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 it was not made to use as a weapon. It was made for "parade" use, or as a part of a dress uniform when not in the field of combat Quote
Weidas Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 T19 dress sword for army(not cavalry) leutenant - captain Quote
