alaen305 Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 please I need the translation of this wakizashi, and the ERA if possible thanks alaen. _____________ Quote
John A Stuart Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 I believe 長国作 Nagakuni Saku. It has had some serious grinding done to the machi and area below on the nakago. We will need pics of the blade to try and determine to which school this smith may belong. John Quote
alaen305 Posted March 4, 2010 Author Report Posted March 4, 2010 more picture thanks ,this is a good smith Quote
John A Stuart Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 Hi Alaen, The pictures and condition of this sword do not provide enough clues as to what school this may be from. Perhaps, you could examine and record the characteristics for us. At least we may be then able to point to a possible direction of inquiry. Sorry. John Quote
Brian Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 Alaen, Sorry to be blunt, but the nakago is trashed at the top, and the kissaki is badly reshaped, along with the other condition issues. Doesn't matter if the smith was good...this one is never going to be more than a generic mediocre altered wakizashi. eBay find? Brian Quote
