All,

I picked up a new sword and I was hoping someone may be able to provide me with more information regarding the age and school of this tsuba. I think Akasaka, but I am FAR (FAR FAR FAR) from an expert. Thank you for the help and insight.

Joe,

I am far, far, far from knowing much about tsuba, but I must say that this looks to me like it was made yesterday (or even tomorrow :D )

Hope I am wrong, but that steel has no character at all?

Joe,

It looks like a modern copy of a higo hayashi piece to me, but what do I know...

Best,
