1941 kanemichi help.

Hi guys, got some questions for the more knowledgeable if I may please.

 

When I bought this the collector did give me the relevant information but I've since lost the email but would like to note the relevant details so I can appear knowledgeable to visitors 🤔

I believe it's a 1941 kanemichi, mill steel water quenched shin gunto.

Can I ask what sugata this sword is please in the correct Japanese term and what the kissaki is most likely please?

I've searched through multiple old posts etc but would still be guess work on my part comparing against others pictures..

Any other feed back on the sword is also greatly appreciated, good or bad.. it's my first, so got alot to learn.. thanks in advance.

紀元二千六百一年 = 1941.

兼道作 Kanemichi saku (with Shō 昭 stamp above).

 

This could be from Kojima Kanemichi.  I would wait until Mal takes a look at it.
