I wanted some info from others about this sword I think it’s Showa not traditional but could be wrong

I did a comparison from book of John Slough and to me it doesn’t match signature

Also if the description is accurate

Any opinions are welcome

A 3800 price tag which seems high

Steve,

The signature starts with "Shoshin Kobuse kitae" Kotani Kaneyoshi (小谷包義). Your pictures don't show the remnants of the Kobuse Method hot stamp at the bottom of the nakago. There are many references to the kobuse method on the forum if you can use the search tool.

Maybe you are already aware, but this sword has been listed for months.

Probably a good reason no body wants it though it’s original price is 4500 or more

I don’t agree with it being traditional 1941 or 2nd seat The signature don’t match John Slough
Thanks for the info
