Ronald Aguirre Posted Saturday at 03:00 PM Report Posted Saturday at 03:00 PM Hey everyone! I just wanted to get your thoughts on this sword. It doesn’t have any paperwork so I thought I might have more trained eyes give me an opinion. Do we think the attribution to tatara nagayuki is accurate? in my research,“Nagayuki work displays a powerful O-Choji Midare of the Ichimonji School, Hiraki-Gunome-Choji Midare and Koshi no Hiraita Midare similar to Sue-Bizen Yosozaemon Sukesada. The hamon is generally based on nioi-deki, but not a pure nioi-deki as a hint of nie can be seen. He was also one of the few smiths that was able to produce Utsuri during the Shinto period.” Any opinions on this piece would be appreciated! Quote
