It is a Shinto sword (Mumei) attributed to Kozuke (no) Daijo Sukesada by the NTHK-NPO. It was polished in Japan and a shirasaya was made. The Gunto Koshirae has a tassel and a tsunagi. The leather seppa is unfortunately torn. Take a look at the photos. You can find more information about the blacksmith here. https://nihonto.com/sukesada/ 2 1 Quote

2devnul Posted March 11 Report Posted March 11 Hi, Very nice sword, I love Hamone/Hada/Koshirae from what I see on pictures. Please let me know if you are maybe interested in exchange? BTW, is that a cut on Nakago? Did past user lost his fingers (cut on Tsuka/hand was common technique)? Quote
Itomagoi Posted March 11 Author Report Posted March 11 Hi Adam, believe me, it's even nicer in hands. But I'm not interested in a trade. There is a notch on the Nakago. I don't know whether the stories about it are true. Headcounts.... The Habaki is covered with silver foil. 2x Aluminum Seppa. Top polish! For the Shirasaya and the Gunto mount fine covers are of course included. A beautiful blade assigned to a high-ranking blacksmith: ¥ 3,0 (Millionen Yen Toko Taikan TK333) 80 (W.M. lonely panet Posted March 11 Report Posted March 11 The "notch" is just a form of assembly numbers. The idea of notches to heads taken is utter twoddle 1 2 Quote
