hudomeld Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 Hey there, many thanks accepting me in the forum. I am not at all an expert here, just starting with Japanese art.. I saw a blade whith a mei as in the photos.. It says kunihiro tsukuru Indeed Horikawa kunihiro signed mostly without tsukuru.. but there is one known example which is certified as he's work with this mei.. May i ask you dear members to help me out with your oppinion on that mei.. can it be kunihiro horikawa or not.. Many thanks in advance Regards David Quote
Jacques Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 Gimei for The Kunihiro (Horikawa), but since there's a bunch of Kunihiro it could be one of them. Quote
hudomeld Posted March 7 Author Report Posted March 7 I thought so... Other question.. As for the shape and appearance of the blade am i wrong when i guess it to be made in the muromachi era? Quote
Ian B3HR2UH Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 The mei / signature is so recently cut that the blade is probably gendai / showa period but certainly no earlier than shin shinto 1 1 Quote
