Dear all

as I have learned that there seems to be a huge interest for gunto spare parts, I have looked through my collection and found another fuchi which may be of interest.

It is made from copper and has three marks on it (I have always thought that these were Kinko stamps but then found a website explaining the background: http://ohmura-study.net/794.html).

My fuchi has three stamps that can be identified as follows:

1) Private sector sword company trademark: Co,Ltd. Suya Shōten

2) Inspection mark: 東 Army Arsenal Tōkyō Factory

3) Supervisor Arsenal trademark: Army Arsenal Tōkyō Factory

As I am no collector of military swords, I do not know how rare these are or what they usually sell for - so please feel free to correct my asking price or make an offer. But I find the history behind these fuchi quite interesting as normally you do not know who made these.

Dimensions:

Nakago ana: 2.5 cm x 0.62 cm max

Fuchi: 1.1 cm (height) x 3.82 cm x 2.5 cm

Asking price is EUR 75 plus shipping (up to EUR 23 worldwide depending on your location)

Best

Chris
