Jack Zacao Posted February 20 Report Posted February 20 My Translation “XX 亭 亮歲 kao“ the first two characters have worn out and are unrecognizable Quote
DanielM Posted February 21 Author Report Posted February 21 Hello Jack, Many thanks for your translation. Have you any idea of the prononciation of these kanji? If any member has a similar kozuka in iron it would be interesting to compare...this is not a unique piece ...but it is interesting...you realize that the 3 human faces have each less than 2 millimeters and we see the eyes nose hear...in copper or silver....realy impressive. I réal would like to see others kozuka of that type Thanks in advance Quote
Jack Zacao Posted February 23 Report Posted February 23 Unfortunately I don’t know the Japanese pronunciation but you can ask some AI and it shouldn’t be hard. I did look the name up in some books but did not find a match. Quote
Nobody Posted February 23 Report Posted February 23 北里亭 亮歳 I do not know the correct reading. Aoi art reads it Kitasatotei Ryosai. Quote
