s-l1600.thumb.jpg.af11c86ef26942108939bf1a87b60cef.jpgHello everyone, I was trolling the internet and saw this sword for sale. Its pretty beat up, but appears to be Japanese. It has a interesting stamp on the blade below the habaki, where we normally see stamps on fake Chinese swords. However, this stamp appears different, and the sword appears wartime vintage and correct for a Shin Gunto. Does anyone have any idea of what the stamp is? Makers stamp for a machine made blade? Arsenal stamp? The blade does not look signed, and appears machine made.

Thanks,

Paul G-

Hello, the meaning of these Chinese characters is that the material of this sword is specialized steel for swords and blades.
